You're probably wondering who the guy is running DBW Productions. Well, let me introduce myself. My name's David Chamberlin and I'm the owner, operator and producer at DBW. I've been a musician since the age of 5, first learning how to play the guitar and soon after, the piano. I studied classical Clarinet for 8 years and played guitar and sang lead in a garage band turned working bar band for most of my teenage years. Originally from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to Florida at the age of 18 to play guitar with the regionally famous band, "Dorian Gray". You might remember our drummer, "Jani Lane", who later went on to front the late 80's band, "Warrant". I've also played and recorded with members of the Back Steet Boys touring band, Tim Berkibile and Louie Vigilante. After 3 years of life in the bars I decided it was time to move on and see what the "real" music scene had to offer. I moved to L.A. in '86 and studied guitar at "Musician's Institute", getting a degree in Rock, Blues, and Fusion styles. I refused to ever get a real job and somehow landed a teaching gig at a valley music store. Along the way, I've done tons of gigs, playing with local rock bands to touring Japan with the oldies band, "The Lettermen". I've been recording for the past 10 years, producing 100's of demos and since I've opened DBW Productions in '96, I've recorded around 50 Indy CD's. In addition to my active recording schedule I also write original music and record my own stuff as much as possible. When I'm not in the studio you can find me mountain biking or hanging out with my family. |
